 Exponential-order approximation to the primitive equations
<p>
 We construct a model that approximates the viscous primitive
 equations of the ocean to an exponential order of accuracy
 in the Rossby number.<br/>
The model is finite-dimensional and reduces to the truncated
quasi-geostrophic equation at leading order.
