I'm a signal processing researcher specializing in cyclostationary signal processing (CSP) for communication and radar signals. My long-term professional goal is to construct a universal radio-frequency scene analyzer that is capable of detecting, characterizing, and classifiying all manmade signals whether they appear in isolation or bound up in a complex congested frequency band. I am approaching this through the lens of statistical signal processing, which means I study and exploit the fundamental probabilistic structure of radio-frequency signals--their probability density functions, higher-order moments, and higher-order cumulants.
I have a BSEE from UC Berkeley and MSEE and PhDEE degrees from UC Davis. I am the author of the Cyclostationary Signal Processing Blog at cyclostationary.blog. I am also the Lead Coach for the Carmel High School FRC Robotics team: Team 2035, The Rockin' Bots.
