NWRA Says Farewell Dr. Edgar "Ed" L. Andreas

Dr. Edgar Andreas died on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, surrounded by family. Ed’s NWRA Family will miss him for his original and careful scientific thinking.He was a kind person and a classic gentleman in all regards.

Accolade: Cindy Twohy Awarded Instrument Time

September 2015

Instrument time has been awarded by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory to Cynthia Twohy for "Molecular Studies of Biological Ice Nuclei over the U.S. Plains States.“

The study will include 360 hours on state-of-the-art mass spectrometers, an electron microscope, a Raman spectrometer and an ice nucleus chamber. The goal of the study is to determine the type, composition and ice nucleating ability of biological aerosol particles over the Great Plains region.
