Ale will work with Drs. K.D. Leka and Graham Barnes, and other members of the solar group, on topics in solar event prediction and data validation.

Originally from Brasil, Ale most recently worked at Arecibo Radio Observatory in Puerto Rico. She holds two PhDs in Space- and Geo-physics, and is also interested in STEM outreach and science education. 

Ale and her husband, former NWRA-er Jonathan Fenzke, plus “two kiddos”, recently moved back to Boulder.
