Outreach: Eric Kunze led a public outreach activity "The Influence of Polar Seas on the Global Ocean"

Eric is a Science Communication Fellow at the Pacific Science Center. He led this activity on April 20th. He was assisted by colleague Dr. Anda Vladuiou, a Post Doc Researcher on one of Eric’s projects. They introduced the public to ocean temperature, mixing, the global current conveyor belt and sea-level rise. Thank you Eric! |

NWRA notes the death of Affiliate Scientist Dr. Wayne Evans on April 27, 2019. Wayne’s primary research interests included the study of the climate radiative forcing responsible for climate change and the depletion of the Arctic stratospheric ozone layer. Most recently, Wayne was analyzing methane data and its role in climate change. Many of us in the Redmond office enjoyed hearing his latest findings when he would pop in to the office for a visit. |
