Service: Jonathan Lilly recently served as a mentor for the Pattullo Conference

October 2015

Jonathan was invited to attend the most recent Pattullo Conference as a mentor. The Pattullo Conference is the centerpiece of the program called MPOWIR --Mentoring Physical Oceanography Women to Increase Retention, the goal of which is to provide mentorship to female oceanographers who are +/- a year or two from receiving their Ph.D.

It was held October 4-7, 2015 outside of Washington D.C. The conference is named for June Pattullo, the first woman to receive a Ph.D. in physical oceanography in the U.S. It was attended by about two dozen junior scientists, and a dozen senior scientist mentors.
