Curriculum vitae
Jielun Sun’s current research interests include interconnections among kinetic, thermal, potential energy changes in the stratified atmospheric boundary layer, viscous stress work in air-surface interactions, boundary layer dynamics over complex terrain, turbulent mixing and trace gas transport, and air-land/sea interactions.
She has worked in the areas of dynamic meteorology, mountain meteorology, mesoscale meteorology, satellite meteorology, microscale meteorology, ozone and carbon dioxide transport, air-sea interactions, parameterizations of subgrid variables for numerical models, turbulence transport over heterogeneous and complex surfaces, and forest meteorology. She participated in numerous air-land/sea interaction field experiments.
