NWRA Welcomes Yefim Kogan as an NWRA Senior Research Scientist
October 2016
Yefim received his MS in theoretical physics from the Moscow State University and his Ph.D. in 1980 in Atmospheric Science from the Central Aerological Observatory in Moscow. He joined the University of Oklahoma School of Meteorology in 1988. His research has been on topics concerning microphysical processes and precipitation development in strato-cumulus and convective-cumulus clouds, based on a unique LES model that include explicit spectral microphysics formulation. While working at NWRA, Yefim expects his research to focus on parameterization of microphysics in convective clouds, specifically parameterization of sub-grid condensation processes for mesoscale prediction models. Visitor: NWRA Welcomes Adam Sykulski to our Redmond Office
October 2016
Adam is from University College London and is visiting with Jonathan Lilly and Jeffrey Early from October 17th – 21st and then again on November 1st – 4th. They are collaborating on methods in bivariate time series analysis. Welcome back Adam! |
