Tobias joined NWRA four years ago as a J-visa scholar to work with Doug Braun and Ashley Crouch in our Boulder office on numerical simulations of wave propagation through sunspots, magnetic flux tubes, and flows in the solar interior.

Tobias moves to a postdoc position at the Universidad de La Laguna where he will continue solar studies.

Gloria Manney has been elected Fellow to AMS. “Election to the grade of Fellow serves as a recognition of outstanding contributions to advance the atmospheric and related sciences, technologies, applications, and services for the benefit of society.”

Only 0.2% of the membership is nominated a Fellow.
