Gloria is a co-editor of the newly released: SPARC Report N°10 (2021) of The SPARC S-RIP Activity: SPARC Reanalysis Intercomparison Project (S-RIP) Final Report Prepared by the SPARC S-RIP Activity, edited by Masatomo Fujiwara, Gloria L. Manney, Lesley J. Gray, and Jonathon S. Wright. The report is the culmination of more than eight years of work. Gloria is additionally co-lead author on Chapter 7 (Extratropical Upper Troposphere and Lower Stratosphere) and 10 (Polar Processes), and co-author on Chapters 1 (Introduction), 4 (Overview of Ozone and Water Vapour), 8 (Tropical Tropopause Layer), 11 (Upper Stratosphere and Lower Mesosphere), and 12 (Synthesis Summary). Cosme Alexandre, Post Doc from Brazil’s National Institute for Space Research (INPE) NWRA warmly welcomes its first J-visa visitor since the pandemic shutdown in March 2020! Dr. Alexandre will be working with Dr. Sharon Vadas in the Boulder Office, investigating sources of traveling ionospheric disturbances (TIDs) in the Andes Mountains examining TID origination, e.g. orographic and/or convective storms, and how they propagate. |
