NWRA Welcomes Maxwell Anderson, Student Intern

September 2021

Max joined in early June after finishing his junior year in CU's Mechanical Engineering undergraduate program. 

Max will work with Andreas in the Boulder Office on various aspects of optical wave propagation through the turbulent atmosphere.  In particular, he will assist in the planning and conduction of field experiments and in the analysis of optical and in-situ field measurements.

NWRA Welcomes Sara Petty, Research Scientist

September 2021

Sara Petty joined NWRA in August.   She is working with Graham Barnes and KD Leka on the forecasting of solar indices, including sunspot number and F10.7 radio emission, from a photospheric flux transport model. She will also be working on the classification and forecasting of solar flares, particularly their EUV emission.

Sara is a trained Astrophysicist with expertise in galaxy evolution, including investigations using the Hubble Space Telescope.
