NWRA Research Scientists Natalia Solorzano and Jeremy Thomas led a team of undergraduate students from DigPen Institute of Technology to design, build, and test a light weight and low-cost energetic particle sensor. The sensor was flown on Blue Origin's New Shepard Rocket in September 2022. The sensor performed well, but the payload didn't reach space altitudes due to an anomaly.
