NWRA Welcomes Ian Mansfield, Summer Student Intern, Boulder office

Ian joins us today (May 25) as a summer student intern working with David Schecter & summer student visitor Brittany Lazzaro on conducting numerical experiments with a state-of-the-art weather research model to improve our understanding of how “tilted” tropical cyclones intensify. Ian is a student at CU Boulder and expects to receive his bachelor’s degree in atmospheric and oceanic sciences in 2024. Please welcome Ian! |
NWRA Welcomes Milena Corcos, Postdoctoral Research Associate, Boulder Office

Milena joins us as a multi-year, J-1 Visa Scholar working with Joan Alexander and Martina Bramberger on gravity waves generated by tropical convection in long-duration super-pressure balloon observations & in high-resolution models. She received her PhD from Sorbonne University (Paris) in early 2023. Her thesis title is, “Processes affecting cirrus cloud life cycle at the tropical tropopause layer: Atmospheric dynamics, microphysics, balloon observations, modeling”. Please welcome Milena! |
