Visitor: NWRA welcomes Dr. Kleber Naccarato, Senior Scientist, INPE (Brasil)

Dr. Naccarato is a J-visa visitor, from the National Institute of Space Research, who will collaborate with Jeremy Thomas and Natalia Solorzano on analysis of lightning datasets from South America and ionospheric models. Please welcome Kleber! |

Eric Kunze, Physical Oceanographer, Senior Research Scientist, Seattle Office Eric will retire this 31 December after a successful and fruitful 40 years with ~100 peer-reviewed journal papers on oceanic phenomena that contribute to mixing and stirring in the ocean with particular attention to the interactions of meso- to microscale processes such as fronts, eddies, internal waves, potential-vorticity-carrying fine structure, turbulence, double diffusion and surface forcing. Eric joined NWRA in 2014 after having hung his hat at WHOI, UW, Univ Victoria (as the Canada Research Chair in Physical Oceanography) and then (again) at UW. He received his PhD in 1985 from UW.
